Southern Arkansas University has accepted an invitation to play in the Farmers Bank & Trust Live United Bowl against Missouri Western. The game at noon Saturday, December 2 in Razorback Stadium in Texarkana will feature a rematch from the Live United Bowls in 2018, when the Griffons beat the Muleriders 30-25. A popular central Arkansas bar and grill, which was featured on a 2018 episode of Guy Fieri's Food Network show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," announced their plans to go mobile following a significant fire that shuttered their restaurant indefinitely last month. North Bar, which is located in the park Hill neighborhood of North Little Rock, announced Wednesday their intentions to open The North Bar Mobile Kitchen while they work to rebuild their destroyed brick-and-mortar business. A 16-year-old southeast Arkansas boy was sentenced to more than three decades in prison last week after pleading guilty to killing another minor during a robbery earlier this year. According to Monticello police, Zaquandre Pittman pleaded guilty to capital murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, and aggravated residential burglary. An Iowa teen convicted in the 2021 beating death of a high school Spanish teacher was sentenced Wednesday to life in prison with a possibility of parole in 25 years.A judge sentenced Jeremy Goodale for his role in killing Nohema Graber, a 66-year-old teacher at Fairfield High School. Goodale, 18, and a friend pleaded guilty earlier this year to first-degree murder in the beating death of Graber. The two teens used a bat to beat their teacher after stalking her all day. An Ohio community is reeling after what was supposed to have been a "once-in-a-lifetime event" turned tragic when three high school students, two parent chaperones, and a teacher were killed in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.  Students and chaperones from the district were traveling on a charter bus to an Ohio School Boards Association conference in Columbus when several vehicles, including the bus, a semitrailer, and two passenger vehicles, were involved in what authorities described as a "chain-reaction crash." A boat carrying 100 passengers capsized on its way to Blue Lagoon Island in the Bahamas. One US tourist died as a result and two others were taken to the hospital. The victim, a 74-year-old woman from Colorado, was on holiday with her family. Police say she was found unconscious when passengers were rescued from the water and was pronounced dead on the dock. The NBA is suspending Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green five games without pay for his role in an altercation with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, the league announced. Green was ejected for putting Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert into a headlock during a brawl that erupted after teammate Klay Thompson and Timberwolves’ Jaden McDaniel started to scuffle in the first two minutes of the game. A cargo jet headed to Belgium from New York had to turn around mid-flight after a horse escaped its stall and got loose in the hold, according to air traffic control audio. The Boeing 747 operated by Air Atlanta Icelandic had just started its flight across the Atlantic Ocean on Nov. 9 when the pilot radioed air traffic control in Boston and said that a horse on board had escaped its stall.  Four men were charged Monday over the theft of an 18-carat gold toilet from Blenheim Palace, the sprawling English country mansion where British wartime leader Winston Churchill was born. The toilet, valued at 4.8 million pounds ($5.95 million), was an artwork titled “America” and intended as a pointed satire about excessive wealth by Italian conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan. It was part of an art installation at Blenheim Palace, near the city of Oxford, a few days before it vanished overnight in September 2019.
